Rodgers, Vera "Bid" Gilreath (LaFayette)

Vera  (Bid)  Gilreath  Rodgers, 99,  of  LaFayette, Ga., died  Sunday, June  24,  2012  at  her  home.

Bid  was  born  October  11,  1912  to  the  late  Alonzo  and  Rebecca  Mitchell  Gilreath; and was also preceded  in  death  by  her  1st  husband,  Lee  Mitchell; second  husband,  Donald  (Don)  Rodgers; and children,   Marliee  Ann  Morrison  and  Robert  (Bob)  Rodgers.

She  was  a  member  of  the  Corinth  Baptist  Church.

She is survived  by  daughter,  Irene  (Johnny )  Rodgers  Cook  of  LaFayette; son,  Donnie  (Mary)  Rodgers  Ringgold;  dear  friends,  Kathy  and  Danny  Carrington;  ten  grandchildren;  several  great-grandchildren;  nieces  and  nephews.

Graveside  service  will  be  Tuesday, June 26 at  noon  in  Corinth  Baptist  Church  Cemetery,  conducted  by  Rev.  William  Harris  and  Rev.  Jimmy  Weaver. Pallbearers  are  Marshall  Kellett,  Jimmy  Ray  Fickey,  Harry  Scott,  Allen  Ridley,  Jerry  Day,  Ronnie  McClure  and  Frankie  Jones. Interment will be in  Corinth  Baptist  Church  Cemetery.

The  family  will  receive  friends  at  the  Funeral  Home  Monday, June 25 from 6-8 p.m.

Valetta Jean Heuser, 93, of Rock Spring, died on Monday, May 20, 2013 in a local hospital.
