Police Blotter: Citico Resident Has House, Car Shot Up

A resident of Citico Avenue said his house and car were shot up.

Greg Smith said he heard shots outside. When the commotion ended, he looked out and saw that his front window had been shattered.

Also a shot hit the side of his 1992 Toyota Camry as well as the siding on his house.

He estimated the damage at $1,500.

Darnielle Carr said someone broke into his gray Chevrolet Impala when it was parked at 600 Broad St. Some bank statements were taken.

The car had tape over one window from another recent break-in.

Police were called to Southern Comfort at 511 Broad St. on a drunken patron.

Officers found Christina Baptist being wheeled out on a chair by some friends. She had vomit on her shirt.

She said she had had too much alcohol. Her friends said that included five margaritas and five shots of whiskey at several bars throughout the night.

Charlene Satterwhite got a $40 money order at Kanku's on Market Street.

She put the money order down on the counter when she decided to go grab a bag of chips. When she returned, the money order was gone.

Amber Crowley said her car was broken into while parked at Petsmart at Gunbarrel Road. Several items were taken.

A witness reported seeing a tall, bald white male at her vehicle. He left in a silver Ford Taurus.

Sammy Belcher of Hooker Road had an intruder while he was sleeping.

He is missing his 42" Sanyo flat screen TV.

* * *

A woman reported her 2002 Chevy Blazer stolen from a convenience store on Dodson Avenue. A heavy-set black male was seen driving away in the vehicle.

A short time later police were notified that the Blazer was at the Battery Apartments on Campbell Street. A black male threw items out of the vehicle, then ditched it.

The owner said speakers and amplifiers were taken.

Police Blotter: Burglars Try To Batter Through Oak Street Wall; Hooter's Girl Gets In The Mix

Police made an arrest of a man with a lengthy criminal record after loud banging was heard at the rear of a building at 2500 Oak St. It was found that someone had tried to batter their way through a cinder block wall.
