Edwin Ellis Brock, 83, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at his home.  

He was born on Signal Mountain March 29, 1929 to Ella Miller Brock and William Lee Brock.  He lived on Signal Mountain for 64 years until he and his late wife, Loraine retired to their lake home in Soddy Daisy.  He was co-owner of Clemons and Brock Carpet Installation for 38 years with his brother-in-law, James Clemons.  He served in the U.S. Army in Panama Canal Zone, was a long-time member of Chickamauga Fly and Bait Casting Club and attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church on Signal Mountain.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 49 years, Loraine Humble Brock; and brother, William I. Brock.

Survivors include his children, Janet (Larry) Wingo of Decatur, Tx., Mark (Karen) Brock of Soddy Daisy and Jill (Joe) Smith of Signal Mountain; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita (David) Perry of Signal Mountain; sister-in-law, Wilma Brock of Signal Mountain; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Dr. Steven Granger officiating.  Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.  

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Fez Club Children’s Fund, 1503 Lee Pike, Soddy Daisy, Tn. 37379.
