TDOT Plans To Help Alleviate Congestion At Cleveland's I-75 Exit 20

  • Friday, June 29, 2012

TDOT officials said at a press conference on Thursday that they are taking steps to alleviate congestion at I-75's Exit 20 at Cleveland, where traffic getting off at the exit sometimes backs up by the freeway.

Spokesperson Jennifer Flynn said the problem worsened with the recent opening of a Pilot Travel Center at the exit.

Deputy Commissioner/Chief Engineer Paul Degges said work will start after the July 4 holiday weekend on widening the northbound exit.

He said property acquisition is underway on widening the bridge over the freeway.

Funding has already been approved for the interchange project.
