An intensive search was carried out Friday afternoon after an employee of the Murphy gas station near the the Brainerd Walmart was shot in the arm. Police were unable to locate the robber, however.
The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. when 33-year-old Leif Plunkett was walking to his car with a bank deposit.
A black male with a gun came out of a wooded area and demanded the money. He fired a shot when the manager started running.
The suspect then fled back into a wooded area near the Brainerd Levee.
The Levee was closed while the search, which included the K-9 unit, was going on.
