Beverly Shaver Dodd, 65, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at a local hospital.  

She was a native of Rossville and had lived in Chattanooga for the past 20 years. Mrs. Dodd had been employed with Chattanooga State for the past 16 years where she worked in Financial Aid and was currently in the Child Care Center. Her passions in life were here grandson, Garrett, her family, and her work with the children at Chattanooga State.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Dodd; and her parents, Raymond and Rena Shaver.

Survivors include her son, Tom Dodd of Chattanooga; daughter, Tina Harrison of Ooltewah; three brothers, Rick Shaver of New York, Ron Shaver of Rossville, and Wesley Shaver of Atlanta; sister, Sandra Cooper of Ooltewah; grandson, Garrett Scott Dodd; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Zack.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend David Pickard officiating.

Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 1, from 4-8 p.m., and Monday, from noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
