Friday, June 29, 2012

Chattanooga's Phoebe Wright fell short on Friday in her second attempt of the week at gaining a spot on the U.S. Olympic squad.

She had earlier finished fifth in the women's 800 meters, with only the top three going to the upcoming summer games in London.

Now running for Nike, she was a track star at Red Bank High School, then she had a remarkable career at the University of Tennessee after making the track squad as a walk-on.
