I write in support of Marty Lasley for Soddy Daisy judge. I grew up in Soddy Daisy. I graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 1981.
I have known Marty Lasley for almost 49 years. He is my brother. During the past 31 years I have served in the United States Army. During this time – Marty has been a constant source of encouragement to both my family and me. Whether it was during my six months deployed to Egypt, my eight months for Desert Shield/Storm; my 12 months in Bosnia; or now my 13 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in the Global War on Terror, totaling over 40 months – Marty has also proven himself faithful to me and my comrades in every conceivable way one could be faithful.
Marty Lasley has supported our military in words and deed – in public and private – in spirit and practice. There is no finer man or candidate for judge. His deeply rooted Christian faith and prevailing moral integrity is rock solid. He is what “right looks like” as a husband, father and attorney. Marty will likewise faithfully serve his hometown of Soddy Daisy as judge.

As a former police chief of Soddy Daisy, I have known Marty Lasley and his family for over 20 years. Marty went to high school at Soddy Daisy, Carson-Newman College and Vanderbilt School of Law in Nashville. He has served in several judicial positions in Hamilton County.
He practiced Law for 25 years, has done pro bono work for the Chattanooga Christian Legal Society and was a Hamilton County magistrate. He teaches classes at church.
Marty is a well-qualified jurist and community leader. He would make a fine home grown judge for Soddy Daisy.

As a life-long resident of Soddy Daisy, I feel that it is extremely important that we elect someone for city judge who is not only knowledgeable, impartial, fair-minded and compassionate but who also has a vested interest in the well-being of our community. In my opinion, this person is none other than Marty Lasley. I have known Marty for most of his life, first as a lively preacher's kid at Oak Street Baptist Church, through his years at Soddy Daisy High School, and later as an eager young law student.
For the past 25 years, Marty has distinguished himself as a top notch attorney with a well documented record, unsurpassed by any of his opponents for this position. Most impressive to me, however, has been his ability to maintain a balanced life while excelling in his chosen profession.

Marty not only grew up in Soddy Daisy, he currently lives here and loves this city. Marty has been practicing law for over 25 years, has served as Hamilton County Magistrate, and actually opened a solo practice in Soddy Daisy less than 2 years out of law school. As a small business owner and resident of Soddy Daisy, I urge other residents to support Mr. Lasley in the upcoming election on Aug. 2. This city deserves to have a trustworthy and disciplined man with the utmost integrity to judge its citizens.

We would like to add our support to Marty Lasley for Soddy Daisy City judge. We have known Marty for about 3 1/2 years and have found him to be a good, upstanding person who is loyal to his profession as well as to his family and his Lord.
We were in his Sunday school class for about two years and found him to be a person who looks at all situations from both sides before making a decision. We feel he would be a good judge who would treat everyone fairly.
