The time has come to make a decision that could influence our children in a positive manner. We all remember a person that made a positive impact on our young lives. I believe that Mike Harvey is the right choice to assist the school board on behalf of our children in both Red Bank and Signal Mountain.
I have known Mike and Yvonne for 20 years. They are a family of integrity. Their sons are also well respected among their peers and teachers at UTC and SMMHS.
Mike will stand up for the right decisions and not waiver with the majority or the influential.
Mike is a mountain native, who went to Red Bank public schools and graduated from Red Bank High School. He is excited about the "Part of the Pride" initiative at Red Bank and would continue to be involved and supportive of this endeavor. Mike sincerely desires this opportunity to serve everyone in District 2, he did not merely "agree" to run at the encouragement of others. When one works hard to accomplish goals those goals are more appreciated. Our children need to have this type of leadership and values, and I believe Mike is the person to provide these. He will be available for all of us as parents. He is approachable, friendly and has never met a stranger. He was an active member of The Founders Fund Planning Committee, the Special Needs Committee and the Football Boosters Committee for Signal Mountain High School. He has 30 years experience on various medical boards and on state nursing boards appointed by the governor; as well as, teaching experience in the nurse anesthetist program at Erlanger and Clinical Instructor for UTC School of Anesthesia for 31 years . If you are wondering who to vote for on Aug. 2 (early voting July 13-28) wonder no more.
