Joseph Lee Golden, 62, of Calhoun, Ga., died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at his residence.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Susie Mae Bennett; two sisters, Ms. Juanita Bennett and Ms. Nina Bennett; and one brother, Mr. Lamar Bennett.
Survivors are his brothers, Mr. Robert Jack (Malinda) Golden of Dalton and Mr. Ricky Bennett; a special niece, Ms. Magon Tennille Golden; nephew, Mr. Allen Robert Shommer; three uncles, Mr. James McDaniel, Mr. Albert McDaniel and Mr. Allen McDaniel, all of Calhoun; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Friday, June 8, at 1 p.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Fairmount, Ga. with Rev. Rodney Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.
His remains will lie in state at the funeral home after 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7 and his family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
