Auditions for Dance Alive will take place next week at four recreation centers from 1-3 p.m:
- Monday, June 11, at Shepherd Recreation Center
- Tuesday, June 12, at Carver Recreation Center
- Wednesday, June 13, at North Chattanooga Recreation Center
- Thursday, June 14, at South Chattanooga Recreation Center
Dance Alive is a free dance program for children ages eight to12 and includes a special Boys’ class featuring ‘The Mustang Project’.
The two-week program takes place July 16-27, Monday through Friday, from 9-11:20 a.m. at Ballet Tennessee studios in John A. Patten Recreation Center. Selected students are expected to attend all 10 days of the program.
The program culminates in a free public performance featuring Dance Alive Children and Summer Intensive dancers at UTC Fine Arts Center, Hayes Concert Hall on Friday, July 27, at 6 p.m.
The program is in partnership with Chattanooga Parks and Recreation and partly funded by Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga, Tennessee Arts Commission, and George Johnson Family Foundation.
