OneConsulting To Create New Logo For La Paz Chattanooga

Thursday, June 07, 2012

OneConsulting launched a logo contest open to all non-profit organizations in Tennessee last month. La Paz Chattanooga was selected, and One Consulting will design the logo for the non-profit’s upcoming Latino Leadership Awards ceremony.

Contestants submitted proof of their IRS status, a copy of their current logo, and a one-page summary about why they needed a new logo.  The winner was chosen according to one or more of the following factors: (1) dissatisfaction with current logo, (2) a new program or initiative about to be launched by the organization, or (3)  a recent change of leadership.

La Paz Chattanooga was chosen as the winner because of their upcoming Latino Leadership Awards ceremony on Sept. 17. A one-of-a-kind event in the region, the inaugural awards luncheon will showcase area Latinos who are making positive impacts across the region and represent their community well. The logo will be designed solely for this awards ceremony, which will draw inspiration from their current logo as well as from their signature fundraising event- Sangria on the Southside.

“Over the past few decades Chattanoogans have done an incredible job prioritizing initiatives to continuously move the region in a positive direction,” said David Martin, manager of Development and Communications at La Paz. “A perfect example of this has been the identification and cultivation of area leaders from all points across Chattanooga. To date, though, there has never been a large-scale awards program aimed at Latino leaders specifically. Through the Latino Leadership Awards, we will finally be able to put a spotlight on these incredible folks who work every day to make our city a regional trendsetter.  We are thrilled that OneConsulting chose La Paz as the winner of the new logo. When introducing an event like this to the community, branding is a key to success.  We are certain that the logo they design will be emblematic of the leaders we are honoring.

OneConsulting will provide La Paz with five logos to choose from to represent the luncheon. La Paz will be featured on OneConsulting’s website as well as in OneConnect, the firm’s community resource online publication. Once the leadership at La Paz makes its final decision, a revealing ceremony for the new logo will take place on a date before the luncheon.
