Virginia Jo Hannah Maynor, 73, of Cleveland, Tn., died Friday, June 8, 2012 at her home.
She attended Mt. Olive Ministries and was very devoted to her family. She was retired from the Tennessee Department of Revenue after 30 years of service; and was former treasurer of the Women’s Democrat party in Bradley County.
She was preceded in death by her father, Millard Hannah; son, Greg Lawson; grandson, Clark Gatlin; brother, Bobby Hannah; and aunt, Jessie Cates.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, B.J. Maynor of Cleveland; mother, Mary Lee Cooke of Cleveland; son, Steve Gatlin and his fiancée Sharlee Haynes of Cleveland; daughter, Dida Knight and her husband Scotty of Cleveland; sister, Ruby Lee Cato of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Kate Lawson of Cleveland and Abigail Gatlin of New York City; former daughter-in-law, Connie Gatlin of Cleveland; and niece, Tenna Cato of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 10, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Trey Bentley, Bob McIntire, Andrew Bentley, Steve Clark, Hunter Cato and Isaac Young serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at the Fike Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
