Alpina Smith Johnson, 90, of LaFayette, died Sunday July 01, 2012.
She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Myrtle Smith; two children, Dale and Lennis Johnson; brothers, Oscar (Syrupy) Smith, Clarence (Dob) Smith, Wallis Smith, Cecil Smith; two son-in-law, Linus McWhorter and Tommy Fickey; husband, Edgar Johnson, and grandsons Christopher Johnson and Wayne Fickey.
She is survived by daughters, Margaret McWhorter, Pete Fickey, Pat (Harry) Scott, all of LaFayette; Polly (Donnie) Parrish, Chickamauga, Starr House, Noble; sons, Joe (Nell) Johnson, of Goldthwaite, Tex., Leon (Juanita) Johnson, LaFayette, Leland (Pam) Johnson, Chickamauga, Steve Johnson, LaFayette; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Smith and Judy Smith, lifetime friend Edith Russell; 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, three great -great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be from Corinth Baptist Church Tuesday at 11 a.m. by Rev. Steve Stanfield, Rev. Jimmy Weaver and Rev. Wayne Wallin.
Pallbearers are Wesley McWhorter, Von Baker, Ben, Daniel, Jesse Johnson, John Paul House. Honorary pallbearers are Ladies Sunday School Class of the Church.
Interment is in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Monday from 6-9 p.m.
