The East Ridge Revitalization Program in partnership with the City of East Ridge, Commissioner Tim Boyd, and other private donors welcome more than 300 students participating in World Changers to the city.
Officials said, "This is the second year in a row that East Ridge has had an opportunity to host this remarkable program. World Changers gives students from across the country the opportunity to minister to the needs of our citizens by making home repairs for those truly in need."
World Changers students and volunteers will be providing the labor at no cost while the materials are provided by East Ridge Revitialization. This combination allows the maximum number of projects to be completed while keeping costs low. More than 10 homes will be worked on throughout the World Changers stay.
Work starts Tuesday, and will run through Friday.
"Roofing will be replaced, houses will be painted, and hopefully some lives will be changed along the way," officials said.
