Mary Frances “Snookie” Hurst, 80, of Rossville, died on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in a local hospital.

She was of the Assembly of God faith, a devoted Christian and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Hurst and ex-husband, Joseph Lancaster Morgan.

Survivors include her three children, Linda (David) Berryhill, Betty (Eddie) Stanfield and Bobby (Jeff) Davison, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews and three special nieces, Joyce, Margaret and Brenda.

Funeral services will be held in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home on Thursday, July 12, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Samuel Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.

Eileen L. Trippler, 95, of East Ridge, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.   There will not be any visitation prior to the burial.
