CeCe Winans In Concert At New Covenant Fellowship July 27

Wednesday, July 11, 2012
New Covenant Fellowship Church welcomes Grammy award winner, CeCe Winans, Friday, July 27 at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the “Sweet 16th” church anniversary.

“For sixteen years our church has been the recipient of God's grace.
To say thank you to those who have shared their time, talents and financial gifts, our leadership decided to give our members a free concert as a gift of our appreciation” said founding pastor, Dr. Bernie Miller.

On Sunday, July 29, Rev. Walt "Baby" Love, nationally syndicated radio host of Gospel Traxx, will preach at 10:30 a.m. “And I know you’ll be blessed by the message,” said Rev. Love.

“We encouraged our membership to give free tickets to nonmembers who have not attended church in the last thirty days. If someone hasn’t attended church during that time, chances are, they are not members of any church” said youth pastor, Rev. Lurone Jennings, II. In Luke 14, Jesus told His disciples to “go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in that my house may be filled.”

“Everything is free, like God’s grace,” said Dr. Miller. “We’re hoping to introduce people to our ministry and to Christ by using nonconventional methods.” Tickets are being given away on WNOO, and J103. If you’re interested in trying to get a ticket, call the church, 899-8001 and put your name on a list.

Location Of The Delta Queen Is The Problem

The Delta Queen is a magnificent part of history and in many ways I'm pleased she is in town. Having the boat where she is is the problem. The boat blocks the view of and from the prettiest park in our town. The crew take many of the parking spots around the park leaving families to park across Frazier and schlep their kids, strollers and picnics to the park. You don't get fireworks ... (click for more)
