Plemons, Lucy Mae Green

Lucy Mae Green Plemons, 90, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Wednesday July 11, 2012. 

A resident of the Chattanooga North Georgia area for the past 30 years, she was formerly of Lonaconing, Md. 

She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of Baptist churches for 40 years in Northern Virginia and the Chattanooga area. She fought Alzheimer’s for more than 10 years. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ottley Morgan Green; four sisters, Viola Richards, Dortha Hartley, Inez Nyman and Jackie Hillary, and stepson, Charles Plemons. 

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, George Edgar Plemons of Ringgold, two daughters and son-in-law, Bonni and Rev. Brad Collingwood of Ringgold, and Karen Bianchi of Chattanooga, two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Imogene and Frank Vaughn of Rome, Ga., and Margaret and Kermit Wright of Ringgold, grandson and his wife, Tony and Penny Collingwood of Red Bank, five stepgrandchildren, eight stepgreat-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at New Liberty Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
