Soddy Daisy Mayor Jim Adams has picked up papers for the upcoming election.

Incumbent David Howell picked up in Lakesite, and he has qualified.

David Rhea Smith picked up papers for the Red Bank at large seat being vacated by Ruth Jeno.

The qualifying deadline is Aug. 16 at noon.
