Kenneth O. Davidson, 89, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Friday July 13, 2012.  

A native of Scott County, Tn., He had been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 60 years and was an active member of Gospel Chapel Assembly of Rossville since 1963.  Mr. Davidson was a World War II Navy  veteran,  where he fought in three major battles. 

He was the son of the late James Franklin and Armelda Davidson, and he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Katherine Davidson; two brothers, Kolmer Davidson, and Jerry Davidson; one sister, Georgia Pierce.

Survivors include his daughter, Janice Ann Davidson; three sons, Donald (Janice) Davidson, Dennis (Ruby) Davidson and Daniel Davidson; brothers, Junior Davidson, Harley Davidson, Earl Davidson, Jimmy Davidson, and Billy Davidson; seven grandchildren, Kristy, Misty, Brian, Brittany, Sherry, Michelle and Ray; 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and church family.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Noah Yarber officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM on Sunday, July 15, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road, Chattanooga, TN 37412.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case.
