Dear cyclists in the Candies Creek/California Lane/Wesleyan Road area,
I don’t mind driving slowly behind you. I really don’t. I used to cycle some myself and fondly remember the satisfaction of the exertion and the exhilaration of the downhill.
But, let me tell you something before you shake your head at me like I’m stupid when I won’t pass you as you wave me around you - I am not going to pass you around a blind curve on a hill, putting my, my child’s and your lives in danger.
So, I will continue to drive slowly behind you – as slowly as it takes to afford you a comfortable and safe leeway – until we reach a point where I can safely pass you if you will please stop trying to encourage me to pass you when you deem that I should and then, when we do reach a place where I can safely do it, afford me the leeway to get around you.

Unlike the previous post, I do mind driving slowly behind you during 5 p.m. traffic on Apison Pike (the same area as the previous poster).
This is a two-lane road with no shoulder and many curves and turns. There are several roads in this area with bike lanes. Apison Pike is not one of them. Most of you show no regard for how many cars are backed up behind you.
I don't drive my car in the bicycle lane. Please don't ride your bicycle on Apison Pike during rush hour when everyone is "trying" to get home from work.
