Friday, July 13, 2012

A Ringgold, Ga., security firm has hit it big in reality TV.

AMC’s new unscripted series, Small Town Security, focuses on a small, family-owned private security company "located in rural Georgia."

Executive produced by Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver from Left/Right (This American Life, Boomtown, Mob Wives), Season 1 consists of eight, half-hour episodes.

Small Town Security premieres on Sunday at 11 p.m. immediately after Breaking Bad's Season 5 premiere.

The show focuses on 61-year-old Joan Koplan's JJK Security and Investigations and also stars husband Irwin and other members of the crew, who cuss and fight, but actually "love one another." There's operations manager Dennis Kroft, secretary Christina Stevens and investigator Brian Taylor.

JJK Security has been in business since 1984.
