The Chattanooga Zoo is hosting the first Q n’ Brew, a BBQ and beer tasting event, on Saturday, July 28, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Zoo’s location in Warner Park.
Guests will explore the Zoo afterhours while eating BBQ and tasting a variety of beers provided by Carter Distributing. Live music provided by the Mountain Cove bluegrass band will keep guests dancing. All monies raised will go toward education and outreach programs.
“We are excited to offer a new family-friendly event this summer at the Zoo, said Darde Long, executive director. “The south is known for having great BBQ, so we thought a Q n' Brew would let folks showcase their talents in a fun and unique setting, while enjoying some brews and listening to great live music.”
To compete in the BBQ cook off, contact Marisa Ogles at 643-5710, no later than Thursday, July 19.
Tickets are $10 per person in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 3 and under gain free admission. Tickets are available online and at the Chattanooga Zoo. For more information, visit www.chattzoo.org.
