I’m writing in support of Greg Vital for Tennessee’s 10th Senate District. Over the past 30 years Greg has worked hard to improve our community, from fighting to preserve local farms to partnering with UTC and Chattanooga State to help train students for careers in the healthcare industry. But with Tennessee’s unemployment rate hovering around 7.8 percent, too many families are struggling to make ends meet. Getting our local economy growing again has to be our number one priority.
Creating jobs is what Greg does best and he has a proven record of success in doing so. Not only has he created jobs, he is a firm believer of using local businesses to help support his own businesses. This has helped many other local businesses continue to create jobs and succeed.
Eighty five percent of Tennesseans are employed by small businesses, and one of their most common complaints is the cost of complying with government red tape, costs that often prevent them from expanding and hiring new workers. As a small businessman who built a company from the ground up and created hundreds of good middle class jobs for Tennessee families in the process, no one understands better than Greg Vital that well-intentioned government programs often come with negative, unintended consequences for small business.
Greg Vital knows that the best thing government can do to help local entrepreneurs is to get out of the way, and he’ll be a strong voice for Tennessee’s small businesses in Nashville. Let’s vote Greg into office and help get the government back to supporting the small business community.
