Dr. William T. Luckey, Jr., president of Lindsey Wilson College, will offer Lee University’s summer commencement address on Saturday, July 28, in the Conn Center.
The eighth president of Lindsey Wilson College, Dr. Luckey has served Lindsey Wilson since 1983 in the roles of vice president for Enrollment Management, vice president for Development, and vice president for Administration and Finance, becoming president in 1998.
As president of one of Kentucky's fastest-growing and most diverse independent liberal arts colleges, dr. Luckey leads a faculty and staff of more than 350 and a student body of more than 2,600.
A native of Louisville, Ky.,Dr. Luckey earned his doctorate in higher education administration from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. He holds a master's degree in business administration from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor's degree in biology from Wabash (Ind.) College. He has been published, and has lectured widely, on the subject of the "scholarship of teaching."
Dr. Luckey is married to the former Elise Hendrickson of Oldham County, Ky. They have three daughters: Joanne, Chelsea and Kaitie.
Graduation exercises will begin on Friday, July 27, with the commissioning service at 6:30 p.m. Commencement will take place Saturday morning, July 28, at 10:30 a.m. Both events will be held in the Conn Center.
