Brown, Lucille Priddy

Lucille Priddy Brown, a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area, went to heaven to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2012.

She was born and raised in Memphis, where she met and married her husband of 63 years. They moved to Birmingham, before settling in Chattanooga, in 1952 where they owned Bert Brown Ford. 

She was an active member in Westminister Presbyterian Church and taught many area Bible studies. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, her most precious legacy is her knowing Jesus and sharing her faith and the eternal gift of salvation with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Hillis Brown. 

Survivors include her three daughters and son in laws, Brenda Long, Chattanooga, Tn, Beverly and Pete James, Northport, Ala., Betsy and Robin Wilson, Knoxville; her grandchildren, Allison Reynold, Chattanooga, Ashley Winegarden, Fairhope, Ala., Anna Tunnell, Northport, Ala., Andy James, Camp LeJeune, N.C., Taylor Wilson, Barrett Wilson, Mary Wilson, Katherine Wilson, Knoxville, and Wesley Wilson, Breckinridge, Co.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 20, at 2 p.m. at the National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to WMBW or Messianic Mission to Israel.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
