A Cleveland teen has become engaged to the Houston girl he courted for five years over the Internet.

The YouTube video of their meeting for the first time in an airport has had over a million views.

Will Jarman and Cady Harris, both 18, are in discussions with Good Morning America and they have also been featured on a major UK news site The Daily Mail, his dad, Alan Jarman, said.

Their story, "From Virtual to Nuptial" has also been featured on ABC TV.

Cady described in the ABC article how they met, “I was using Xbox Live where you can play with people all around the world, and even friend people as you do on Facebook.

I was just playing an online game with a few friends I know from here and he happened to be in the lobby with us. He joined our game because we were doing well. We were talking through the mic. We’d play for hours at a time, then eventually friended each other on Facebook and it just went from there.”

She told ABC, “When you’re online dating it’s nothing physical. You have to actually just get to know the person for who they are. I’ve known him for five years, met his family, his friends, I know him for who he is. You get to know the person for themselves, not their looks, just for them.”

They talked online for three years, speaking to each other through the microphone players can use on the online video game “Halo.” That led to online dating and then to finally meeting in person.

Cady said her parents approve of the unusual liaison. She said her mother "approves of it. She thought it was weird at first like most people do, but once she talked to him a couple times she really liked him. Both of my parents do,” Harris said.

They are now engaged, though they don't plan marriage until they are at least 21.

They will get together again in August when Will is in San Antonio for his brother’s graduation from the Air Force.

Here is the video taken by Cady's mother of their initial airport meeting in March as shared on YouTube.
