Mother Of 2 Bradley Boys Who Suffered Heat Deaths Is Indicted For Murder

The mother of two young Bradley County brothers who suffered heat deaths has been indicted for murder by the Bradley County Grand Jury on Wednesday.

Natasha Moses Bates, 26, is being held at the Bradley County Jail.

She first reported that the boys, Leland, 5, and River, had drowned. She drove the boys on June 28 to their father's home before help was called.

An autopsy showed that both boys died of hyperthermia.

Ms. Moses is charged with two counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated child abuse / endangerment, four counts of initiation of manufacture of methamphetamine, and one count of promotion of methamphetamine manufacture.

Detectives searched her home on Keith Valley Road after the incident.
