Dean McCartt, 83, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was of the Baptist faith. 

Mrs. McCartt was the daughter of the late Harold C. Sanders and Dora Mae Williamson Sanders; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Walter McCartt, Sr.; her son, Arnold McCartt, Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Kairi Anna McCartt. 

Survivors include her children, Sandra Richmond and husband, Troy and Andra Pippenger and husband, Terry all of Cleveland; daughters-in-law, Darla Rives and Meghan Boles both of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Danica Pippenger and (Artie Hanes), Ryan McCartt and wife (Chastity McCartt), David McCartt and (fiancée Meagan Thomas) and Alex McCartt; six great-grandchildren, Jackson Hanes, Ryley McCartt, Malorie Lawson, Alexis McCartt, Chris Thomas and Jared Edenfield; five brothers, Clayton Sanders of Ten Mile, Wilbur Sanders of Waterloo, IN, Boyce Sanders of Williamsburg, OH, Ray Sanders of Knoxville and Bill Sanders of Tacoma, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Steve Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will serve as pallbearers. Honoray pallbearers will be Troy Richmond and Terry Pippenger. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 20 at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.


Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. Dawson, Kimberly "Gussy" (Trion)

Kimberly “Gussy” Dawson, 46 of Trion, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Hutcheson Medical Center following a long illness.    She was born in LaFayette, GA on March 8, 1967.  Mrs. Dawson was a former paramedic with Chattooga County EMS.  She loved her job and won EMT of the year out of 16 counties.  She was a member of the Waterville Baptist ... Ronald West Beckett, 64, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, May 18, 2013.  He was born December 28, 1948.  He was preceed in death by his father, William Thomas Beckett.  Mr. Beckett loved the outdoors and camping. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
