Johnson, Hickey and Murchison, PC funded $2,500 in pre-K childcare scholarships for the children of low-income working mothers, through the Chattanooga Metropolitan YMCA’s 2012 Strong Kids campaign.

The gift marks JHM’s 15th straight year of providing children with access to childcare programs at their local Y, with an emphasis on literacy, health and nutrition.

“Many single working moms are trying hard to provide for their families, but they simply don’t have healthy childcare options,” said Dean Krech, audit partner at JHM.
“JHM Certified Public Accountants is pleased to support the YMCA’s efforts in reaching out to these kids.”

The Strong Kids campaign seeks to raise upwards of $450,000 for program scholarships in 2012 for low-income parents and their children. To learn more or to contribute to the campaign, visit www.ymcachattanooga.org/support/strong-kids/, or call the YMCA at 423 265-8834.
