Freida Eleanor Cronan, 79, of Cleveland, Tn., died Sunday, July 1, 2012.
She was a hospital volunteer and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary where she served as past president. She was a member of Tasso Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Houston McConnell and Lucy Alice Reynolds McConnell; husband, Mitchell Cronan; and son, Christopher Gale North.
She is survived by her children, Joy Ann Phillips and husband William of Forsyth, Ga., Jerry Russell North, Jr. and wife Shirley and Donna Darlene Cruz and husband Eleazar, all of Loudon, Pamela Jean Harper and husband Herb of Franklin, Mickey Cronan and wife Beth of Benton and Joyce Moorhouse and husband Walter of Ocoee; grandchildren, Angela Kathleen Maddox and husband “Skip”, William Andrew Phillips, Jaison Brown and wife Amy, Jessica Tallent and husband Chris, Walt Moorhouse, Amanda Dunn and husband Kevin, Alexander Harper, Curtis Harper and Ellen Harper; five great- grandchildren; brothers, Clifford McConnell and wife Henrietta and Sam McConnell and wife Joyce, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 5 at the Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
