Headrick, Agnes Inez (Tunnel Hill)

Agnes Inez Headrick, 97, of Tunnel Hill, Ga., died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Regency Park. 

She was born August 8, 1914 in Murray County, daughter to the late Levi and Evie Gray Hilley; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Headrick; brothers, Clinton Hilley, Reynolds Hilley, Harold Hilley and Robert Hilley; her infant twin sister; and a son-in-law, Charlie Bridges. 

Agnes is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Eloise Bridges of Pensacola, Fla. and Edna and Dean Perkinson of Tunnel Hill; brother, Carl Hilley of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Randy Bonifacious and Debbie and Jimmy Howell all of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Mandy and Andy Sharpe of Pulaski, Tn., Kyle Bonifacious of Tunnel Hill, Tripp and Allison Howell of Nashville and Tate Howell of Dalton; great-great-grandchildren, Asher and Ava Sharpe; and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Regency Park Health Care Center for their loving care. 

Memorial graveside services will be Tuesday, July 3 at 11 a.m. at Whitfield Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dewey Boyd officiating.

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talledega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
