Robert Purcell, 89, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, July 2, 2012.

He had owned and operated C & I Specialty Construction Company of which he co-founded.  He was past president of Association General Contractors of East Tennessee.  He was Director Emeritus of Community National Bank, formerly Rossville Bank. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S Lexington. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lakeview.

He was preceded in death by a son, Larry L. Purcell; and parents, James Truman and Lucille Jones Purcell.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Castleberry Purcell; son, Robert (Sandra) Purcell, Chattanooga; daughter, Janice Elaine Purcell, Chattanooga; brother, Jack Purcell, Ringgold; sister, Carolyn Kirby, Flat Rock, Ala.; two grandchildren; Deana (William) McGlocklin, Robert Chip (Erica) Purcell; three great-grandchildren; Anslee McGlocklin, Will Purcell and Brittany Portwood.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Patrick Cooper and Dr. LeRoy Spinks officiating.  Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Leonard Miles, Jim Crittenden, Don Brown, George Eaves, Luther Masingill, Jerry Pond, Fred Edgemon, Wayne Thomas, Rod Callahan and Wayne Ervin. Honarary pallbearers will be Shipley Sunday School Class.

The family would like to thank special caregivers, Dee Dee Davis and Sheryl Carter for their loving care.

Earl Dewey Quinn, 74, of Apison, Tennessee, died on May 18, 2013 at his residence.  Earl was an employee at Collegedale Caseworks with 34 years of service, a lifelong resident of Apison, and an avid wrestling and Nascar fan. Hunt, Genella

Genella Hunt, 88, of Rossville, died on Friday, May 17, 2013 at a local health care facility.  Survivors include her husband, Donald C. Hunt, Jr.; four children; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services will be on June 1. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
