#2 MOVIES IN THE PARK AT DARK THIS FRIDAY. 

Movies at Heritage Park returns July 27, at dusk for another free Family Movie...I hear the movie this week has to do with a green frog...Just bring a blanket and the family to Heritage Park in East Brainerd. At the corner of East Brainerd Road and Jenkins Road. 

#3 NEW! FREE 12 WEEK FITNESS CLASS AT CARVER COMMUNITY CENTER

Chattanooga Parks and Rec and Memorial Health are adding new classes to Carver as part of the East Chattanooga Health Improvement Wellness Program. Aerobic classes, bible studies, education, nutrition, testing and more! Mon/Wed/Thu 5pm or Tue at 7pm, or Thu at 6pm. Call Monica at 504-6260 for more.

#5 FREE BALLET PERFORMANCE. "THE COLOR OF DANCE" THIS FRIDAY.

Come support local youth as Dance Alive, a program directed by Ballet TN with youth from Parks and Rec, will provide a free performance for the public at the Hayes Concert Hall at the UTC Fine Arts Center, this Friday, July 27, at 6 p.m. Come support the next star. For more information call 821-2055. 

#6 LOW IMPACT AEROBICS WITH SUSAN! FREE AT HIXSON CC.

Join Susan Poss Tuesdays and Thursdays at the NEW Hixson Community Center from 9:15am to 10:15am for Low Impact Aerobics! 5400 School Drive (Old Hixson Middle School). 

#7 BECOME A CHATTANOOGA PARK STEWARD. VOLUNTEER NOW. 

With 65 parks and greenways, its tough sometimes to keep them trash free! We could use volunteers to help. Check out the website and find out how you can become a Chattanooga Park Steward! No time commitment, no cost, just volunteering. If interested call 643-6096 for more!

#8 SUMMER BLAST 2012

Coolidge Park - July 31, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. First things First will host a teen event focused on communication and core vales...but fun! from 9am-4pm. You can register at Hixson Community Center, where transportation will also be provided.

TDOT Announces Completion Of New Community Park In Nashville

Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) Commissioner John Schroer joined Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and residents on Thursday to celebrate the completion of a new community park which sits at the corner of Gale and Lealand Lanes. TVA Celebrates National Trails Day With Enhancement Efforts

The Tennessee Valley Authority will be making improvements at six trail locations in Tennessee and Alabama on Saturday, June 1, to celebrate National Trails Day and is encouraging volunteers to participate. Feds Dismiss Criminal Charges Against Rarity Developer Mike Ross

Federal authorities have dismissed an indictment against Mike Ross, the developer of a floundering Rarity Club project at Nickajack Lake in Marion County. The Maryville developer was charged last November with mail fraud, wire fraud and money laundering. Head Of BB&T's Chattanooga Commercial Banking Operations To Plead Guilty To Making Fraudulent Loans

The head of BB&T's Chattanooga commercial banking operations has been charged by federal authorities with making fraudulent loans. Tracy Brown is set to plead guilty to bank fraud on June 4.
