Ida Stoner, 91, of Rossville, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at a local health care facility.  

Mrs. Stoner was a native of Whitwell, TN, and had lived the past 29 years in the north Georgia area.  Mrs. Stoner was associated with the Rossville Church of Christ.  Her passion in life was her family, and she loved children dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stoner; children, John Stoner, Tina McDaniel, and James Polk Stoner, Jr. “Schwin”; and two brothers, Robert and Lewis Herron.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mike Adams of Maumelle, AR; two grandchildren, Travis Stoner of Dunlap, TN and Jason (Natasha) Stoner of Norfolk, Virginia; three great grandchildren, Nathan, Jaiden, and Grace Stoner; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at 4411 Oakwood Dr.  Chattanooga, TN 37416.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jim Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pea Ridge Cemetery in Henegar, AL.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 24, from 6-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
