William Floyd “Billy” Noles, 72, of Summerville, GA, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Noles was born October 25, 1939 in Gaylesville, AL, the son of the late Archie Lee Noles and Mary Love Noles. He was retired from the City of Summerville and he attended Four Mile Baptist Church. He participated in and coached youth sports activities. He was also an umpire for many years, and he played in the Men’s Softball League. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Other than his parents, Mr. Noles was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Noles.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Smith Noles; sons and daughter-in-law, Gene and Shelia Noles, Andy Noles, Mike Noles; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth Noles Peace and Bruce Peace, Tammy Noles Wallin and Casey Wallin; step-mother, Jeanette Noles; step-children, Lance Corporal Ethan Saylors and Ashley Wilson; brothers, Bud Love, Lloyd Noles, Archie Noles, Bobby Arp and Larry Arp; sisters, Belle Bailey, Mary Faye Denney and Cathy Gorham; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joel Smith and Rev. Jerry Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gene Noles, Tony Noles, Shane Noles, Chris Noles, Heath Noles, and Ethan Saylors. Honorary pallbearers will be Sewell Cash, Fred Lawson, City of Summerville Employees, and all Personal Friends.

Mr. Noles will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
