Charlotte Vann Hollis, 75, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at her residence. 

She was a lifelong resident of Rossville and 1955 graduate of Rossville High School. Mrs. Hollis was affectionately known as Pickle. Her professional career was spent at Combustion Engineering and Kayo Oil Company where she was the first female on the board of directors which later became Conoco Oil where she was manager of employee relations. 

Mrs. Hollis was active in ESA, a national philanthropic and educational organization. As a member of the Alpha Beata Chapter, she served all offices of the local chapter and served as Tennessee State president in 1976-1977. Her family was her passion and cooking was her hobby.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. 

Mrs. Hollis was preceded in death by her parents, Eston and Mary Ellen Blevins Vann; brother, Donny Vann. 

Survivors are her husband, Paul Hollis; sons, Shawn (Janine) Hollis, Athens, Ala., Matthew (Maddie) Hollis; brothers Toppy (Gail) Vann, Greensboro, Ga., J. T. (Brenda) Vann, Rossville; sisters, Brenda Vann (Benny) Sizemore , Calhoun, Ga., Hope Vann (Neil) Atchley, Cleveland, Tn.; grandchildren, Abby Hollis, Manuel and Benjamin Hollis; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 27, at National Cemetery with Reverend Janice Keebler and Reverend David Blackwood officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Cannon Center, 3322 West End Ave., Suite 900, Nashville, Tn. 37203.
