Support For Mike Harvey For School Board - And Response

Friday, July 27, 2012

I am writing this to endorse candidate Mike Harvey for the upcoming election of the Hamilton County District 2 School Board.

I am a senior and Student Council president of Signal Mountain High School. Being a student, I understand the current issues facing the educational system, and trust this candidate to help improve our schools.

I also know Mr. Harvey and his family very well on a personal level.  There is no other candidate more qualified for the job.  Mr. Harvey is a very hard working, determined, and trustworthy man.

Make the right choice and write in Mike Harvey on voting day, Aug. 2.

This is Reese Phillips, quarterback and student of the Signal Mountain Eagles, supporting  write in candidate for Dist. Two school board, Mr. Mike Harvey.

I happen to be great friends with Mike’s two boys, Taylor and Cody. With this said I have been around Mr. Harvey a lot and he is one the nicest, most humble and down to earth people I have ever been around. I always look forward to seeing Mr. Harvey when I go to the Harvey residence, and unless he is working at the hospital he is always with his boys and the friends they have over, joking around and making sure our time at their house feels like home.

Mr. Harvey is a man of the highest integrity and is a very intelligent man, and someone who enjoys and loves his job and more importantly someone who always is enjoying life and supporting his family. Mike insists on Southern hospitality and always keeping an open door policy. He is the type of person that if you needed somewhere to stay for the night or just needed people to talk to you could walk into the Harvey household, and have some where to stay and plenty of people to talk to.

This is just how Mike is and the whole family that himself and Mrs. Harvey have raised. Mike always insist on having us guys over for dinner and to swim and hangout with the family because its just the way Mike is. He is a constant volunteer for the football program, because he loves and enjoys helping the team, our school, and Coach Price out as much as he can. If ever we need help fixing up the field or we need help with fundraisers etc.

Mr. Harvey is always the guy that will volunteer and do as much as he can to help his community, SMHS,and our team. No matter how stressed or busy at work Mike is he always will help out with the team, school, or community and he always will keep a smile on his face no matter what because that’s just the way Mike was raised and that’s how he will always be.
