Atomic Films Wins National ADDY For Cinematography

Tuesday, July 03, 2012

Atomic Films, a Chattanooga-based film and video production company, won a National ADDY award that recognized their achievement in the category of Cinematography. The award-winning video was produced for Blood Assurance.

In addition to receiving several Gold ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation at the local level, including Best of Show, the video also received a Gold ADDY Award at the district competition in Nashville before it went on to win the National ADDY at an awards ceremony in Austin, Texas.

This is the second National Addy Award in two years for Atomic Films.  Their work for the Chattanooga Area Convention and visitor’s Bureau done for the Johnson Group Ad Agency also won in the cinematography category.

“For our non-profit blood center to be featured along with submissions on behalf of brands like Nike, HBO, VW, Intel and others is a big achievement for us,” said Linda Hisey, vice-president of marketing and public relations at Blood Assurance.  “We’re very proud of the fact that we were able to take our need directly to Atomic Films and they were able to conceptualize it.”

“The Blood Assurance video uses innovative story-telling to relay the constant need for blood donations,” said Bobby Stone, partner at Atomic Films.  “Through creative film-making, we show the journey of an accident victim in reverse, beginning in the hospital and traveling through the scene of a car accident until ultimately reaching the blood donor, whose donation was used by the patient in need.  We are proud of this work not only for it’s visual creativity, but most importantly, it’s vital and impacting message.”
