Soccer World Sports announced Tuesday that Club America are scheduled to bring in some "heavy artillery" for their match against fellow Mexican soccer giants Pachuca this Saturday July 7, at Finley Stadium in downtown Chattanooga.
Scheduled to appear is forward Christian Benitez, also known as "Chucho,” who was the leading goal scorer of the Mexican Primera with 14 league goals. Joining Benitez will be Christian Bermudez, Jesus Molina, Aquivaldo Masquera, Paul Aguillar, Daniel Montenegro, Ruebens Sambueza, and Mexican National player Jose Maria Cardenas.
Mark Weisman, president of Soccer World said that “it appears America will field a much more powerful side than they have in the last two matches in Fresno and San Diego. We are very proud to host these magnificent stars in Chattanooga, and I know the fans are in for a real treat. This is a “friendly match” by definition, but one that is lining up to be a real battle!"
Pachuca will be led by the legendary Mexican soccer coach Hugo Sanchez. Sanchez is a national soccer hero in Mexico and spent much of his career with Real Madrid. Pachuca also recently signed two high-profile star forwards: Mexican National Team regular Nery Castillo and Spanish international Raul Tamudo, who was an iconic player at Espanyol.
