Reba (Jones) Burris, 80, of Benton, TN, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at a local hospital. 

She was of the Baptist faith and a life-long resident of Polk County. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt Jones and Ada Rogers Cross: brothers, Buddy and Junior Jones; sister, Helen Jones; and husband, Austin Burris. 

She is survived by her brother: Clarence “Nook” Jones of Benton; niece, Cheryl Cross and husband Bobby; nephews, Randall Jones, Bernard Jones and wife Sheri, Tim Jones and wife Jean Marie, and Mike Jones; great-nieces, Eylish Thompson and husband Damon and Chandley Jones;  and great-nephews, Christopher Cross, Joshua Cross, Joseph Cross, Matthew Cross, Matthew Jones and Garrett Jones. 

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Herron officiating. Interment will follow in Old Ocoee Cemetery with a white dove ceremony concluding the service. 

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1 at the Higgins Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.


Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover.
