Rosezine Powell Goins, 84, of Old Fort, TN, died on Monday, July 30, 2012. 

She was the daughter of the late Dolph and Mary Dunn Baxter; and was also preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Eugene Ross and James “Red” Powell Jr.; her beloved son, Charles Terry Ross; son-in-law, Eddie Qualls; and siblings, Myrtle Walker, Syble Willson, Jimmy Baxter, Fred Baxter, Delmar Baxter, R.C. “Bill” Baxter and B.H. Baxter. 

She was a member of Samples Memorial Baptist Church since 1960.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Howard Goins; children, Brenda Jane Creasy and her husband Don, Rick Ross and his wife Trilba, Sheila Cameron and her husband Anthony, Sharon Cavett and her husband Marvin; daughter-in-law, Carolyn “ Maw” Ross; step-children, Larry Goins and his wife Melanie, Linda Beaty and her husband Clinton and Tim Goins; grandchildren, Teresa Ross Hammons and her husband Calvin, Reverend Steve Ross and his wife Connie, Eric Lawson and his fiancé Sherri , Brian Lawson and his partner Bob DeMerritt, Leslie Wilson and husband Bobby, Frankie Lynn Qualls and his wife Michelle, Talian Lynn Ross and his wife Kristen, Heather Benefield and her husband Jason, Leticia Moore and her husband Nathaniel; several great-grandchilden, great-great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; siblings, Henry Baxter, Margaret Swallows, Jennie Mae Bartley and Louise Hogan; many loving nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Booger and Rebel.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, August 2 at Samples Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Cameron officiating. The body will be at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 1 from 4-8 p.m. at Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel is in charge of the arrangements
