Suspects Sought In 2 Separate Shootings Wednesday Morning

Chattanooga Police are seeking suspects in two separate shootings that happened early Wednesday morning.

Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting at 4900 Brainerd Road at the Kangaroo gas station at approximately 2:37 a.m.The officers found that the victim, Emmanuel Harris, 18, had been shot at the gas station and was transported to a local hospital prior to their arrival. Harris is listed in stable condition and investigators are still working on suspect leads.

A Chattanooga Police officer was flagged down at 3:30 a.m. by George Dillard, 22, and Alisha Twitty, 24, on Rossville Boulevard. Mr. Dillard was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and Ms. Twitty had a minor injury to her face. Both parties were transported to a local hospital for treatment where they are listed in stable condition. Investigators found that the incident occurred at 4107 Fagan Street and believe that Mr. Dillard was targeted by the unknown suspect.

County Says Unincorporated Voters Would Have To Approve Distilleries

The Legislature passed a bill to allow distilleries in Hamilton County, but due to action by the County Commission on Wednesday it does not apply to the unincorporated areas.
