Registered nurses interested in providing a health ministry in their churches or synagogues are invited to join the Fall 2012 Faith Community Nurse/Parish Nurse Class offered by Memorial.
The 22nd Faith Community Nurse/Parish Nurse Class will begin on Aug. 15, and end with a commissioning service on Oct. 9. Three eight-hour day sessions are scheduled for Aug. 15, 22, and 29; three three-hour evening sessions will be held on Sept. 6 and 20 and Oct. 4. All six sessions must be completed to meet course requirements. The application process including tuition deposit is due by Aug. 1.
“Because of the importance of the spiritual dimension in life and healing, Memorial offers this program to prepare registered nurses to establish health ministry programs in their congregations or faith communities,” said Connie Blake, Faith Community Nursing coordinator. “Faith Community/Parish nurses serve as a vital link between health care and church communities.”
Please contact Connie Blake, at 495-6163 or email connie_blake@memorial.org for additional information including the tuition cost.
