Elmer J. Bass Sr., 90, of Soddy Daisy, died on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at a local health care facility.

He was of the Christian faith and was a lifetime resident of Soddy Daisy. He was a member of the VFW #1289.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Bass, parents, Henry and Lucy Bass.

He is survived by his sons, Elmer Joseph Bass Jr., Steven Roe Bass, Randall Lee Bass, daughter, Janice Faye Bass Penney, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Chaplain Paul Williams officiating with military honors.

His family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Monday, July 9, at the funeral home.
