Oakwood Baptist Presents Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University

Oakwood Baptist Church will present Financal Peace University with Dave Ramsey.  Financial Peace University (FPU) is a nine-week, life-changing program that empowers and teaches you how to make the right money decisions to achieve your financial goals and experience a total money makeover.

Classes will start on Sept. 10, and run every Monday night for nine weeks through Nov. 5. Each night will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. at Oakwood ‘s Gateway Campus, 4031 Cloud Springs Rd (inside Gateway Mall), Fort Oglethorpe, Ga, 30742.

FPU at Oakwood is for everyone and anyone from the financially secure to the financially distressed, and anyone who wants to learn a common sense / Biblical approach to handling money.

There will be two informational / sign up classes: Monday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m., and Monday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m. You need only attend one to get registered.

All classes this fall (including the informational / sign up sessions) will be held at the Gateway Campus (4031 Cloud Springs Rd) of Oakwood Baptist Church, just off I-75 in the Ringgold / Fort Oglethorpe area. The N2Him room inside the Gateway Campus can be entered by using the office entrance to the campus on the back side of the mall - look for the glass door with the Oakwood logo on it.

Churchwide Missions Lunch Is Sunday At Signal Mountain Baptist

A churchwide mission lunch will be at noon this Sunday, at Signal Mountain Baptist Church, 939 Ridgeway Ave. All donations for the meal will go toward youth mission trips this summer. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
