Acoustic/Alt/Rock singer and songwriter and Chattanooga native Josh Gilbert will be hosting a live DVD concert recording along with his band on July 21 at 8 p.m.  They will perform an entire set of 15 songs to a live audience for a video and audio recording. Acoustic Jacob Johnson will be opening.

The show will be held at the Camp House, on Williams Street off of Main Street in downtown Chattanooga.

Review for Josh Gilbert:
Josh Gilbert delivers diverse and melodic anthems and ballads. He has a sound in the vein of Need To Breathe, Ray LaMontagne, and John Mark MacMillan. Gilbert's songwriting is influenced by artists ranging from alternative acts like U2, Coldplay, Keane and Switchfoot- to classics such as Sting, Seal and Bad Company. With a passionate and soulful voice, Gilbert's solo music features on a dynamic vocal range, creative hooks and picturesque lyrics. Gilbert performs regularly across the country and outside the U.S. (just got back from a Canada tour, which included Toronto and Montreal) as well as performed and wrote as the lead-singer in the Tennessee-based Indie Band, Jettison Never, for over a decade, touring independently and relentlessly across the U.S. in over 500+ shows, and 44 states.

Josh has used that experience to fuel and pursue a solo artist career including national and international touring, songwriting, and an acoustic EP called "Live Tracks & Acoustic Sessions," as well as a full length mainstream album "The Nether Road" available on ITunes.

Roy Exum: So How Am I Really Doing?

I’ve gotten hundreds of jokes since Tuesday when I wrote about feeling a little puny lately and expressing my belief that laughter is the best medicine. After breaking some bones in my arm as I slept last week and having no idea there were already some other fractures, it looked pretty certain I had a case of “The Big C.” I’ve always felt that stands for “courage” but the medical ...
