Gary Starnes Has The Qualities To Be A Good Judge - And Response (3)

Wednesday, August 01, 2012

Please join me in voting for Gary Starnes for Sessions Court judge on Aug. 2.

Gary has worked tirelessly throughout this campaign. During the years I have known Gary, he has demonstrated a strong work ethic. He has the qualities to be Sessions Court judge – honesty, integrity, and knowledge of the law.

The reason Gary has been endorsed by both editors of the Chattanooga Times Free Press, the International Brotherhood of Police Officers Chattanooga Local 673, the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association, and received the most votes in the Chattanoogan.

com Readers Poll is that the best person for Sessions Court judge is Gary Starnes.

My husband and I have been following the race for Sessions Court Judge for quite some time.  During this time I have never seen a more dedicated and hard-working candidate than Gary Starnes.  For the past 14 days I have watched him and his supporters working the polls every day while being the only judicial candidate out there. His work ethic is second to none.

For the past four months I have watched him run a good, clean campaign despite all of the setbacks that have been thrown at him. Gary Starnes is true man of character and is always willing to help those in need. He is a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. All three of his children are wonderful young adults. This man is a true man of God.  He has the life experience and the judicial experience to serve our citizens with honor and without prejudice. He can and will make a difference on our community.

I know that there is no better candidate for the General Sessions Court Judge of Hamilton County. Please join my family and I on Aug. 2, and vote for Gary Starnes.

My purpose for writing is to correct some misinformation stated by Barrett and Lindsay Sadler in their letter of support for Gary Starnes.  They state, “For the past 14 days I have watched him and his supporters working the polls every day while being the only judicial candidate out there.”  My husband, Ron Powers, is also a candidate for Sessions Court Judge.  Ron, myself, our two daughters, and several of our supporters also worked the early voting locations. To be fair, I know that Joe DeGaetano, another candidate for Sessions Judge, also worked early voting.

Thank you,

Angie Powers

It is great to see families out working.

If working early voting precincts continuously were all that separated the candidates, Gary Starnes would still be the leader.  Right now what really separates the candidates is the following:

1)           Endorsements from both Editors of the Times Free Press Newspaper.
2)           Police IBPO Local 673 formal endorsement.
3)           Fire Fighters Association Local 820 endorsement.
4)           Chattanoogan.com Reader Poll Winner.
5)           Chattanooga Tea Party Candidates Forum Poll Winner

There is only one candidate that has uniformly captured broad public support. That candidate is Gary Starnes for Sessions Court Judge and that is why he has my vote on August 2nd.

Thanks, Sheriff

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department is very responsive and professional out in Apison, and I appreciate that.  We have some fine deputies serving Hamilton County.    I took a minute to call and tell them thank you, I hope my neighbors will also. Brian Wood Apison (click for more)

Questionable Moc Coaching Choices - And Response

David Blackburn proved that he rolled an elder vice chancellor to hire Will Wade. I can't find one game Wade coached. Should we think he is a better coach than the Georgia coach that won the SEC? At least four jobs were open in and around Wade's hometown, Nashville. No one mentioned his name. While Blackburn was preaching in the Chattanoogan Room about the fairness of the ...
