Hooker, Rocky Lynn (Dalton)

Rocky Lynn Hooker, 54, of Dalton, GA, died Tuesday morning, July 31, 2012 at the local hospital. 

Rocky was born December 6, 1957 in Dalton; and was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Carl R. and Ollie Hooker; his grandparents, Taylor and Fannie Hight, Jim Hooker and Clara Mulkey. 

He is survived by his mother, Mary Hooker; wife, Felecia Shepherd; fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Jerry and Mary Land, Priscilla and Jerry Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rickey and Pamela Hooker, Ronnie and Zoe Hooker; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Terry Jenkins; nieces, Leia Cole, Crystal and Melanie Hooker; nephew, Alex Hooker; special loved ones, Shane Collins, Sabrina Collins and Maggie Shepherd; and his beloved little Chihuahua, Little Rock. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Rocky Lynn Hooker will be held Thursday, August 2, at 3 p.m. at the Freedom Baptist Church in Dalton, with Reverend Tony Westmoreland officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Harrison Chapel Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia, with Hal Goble, Larry Cantrell, Dale Pullen, Larry Woodring, Leldon Woodring and Dennis Pullen serving as pallbearers. 

In Lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the Rocky Hooker Memorial Fund c/o Ronnie Hooker1203 Threadmill Rd., Dalton, Georgia 30720. 

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 1 and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, August 2,

Arrangements are by Ponders Melrose Chapel.


Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night.
