Platinum Financial Funding Hires Four New Loan Originators

Platinum Financial Funding has hired four new loan originators, Rick Wamsley, Joyce Hixson, Howard Wood and Wayne Denham.

 

Rick Wamsley joined Platinum Financial Funding’s downtown Chattanooga office.

For more than a decade, Mr. Wamsley has been in the real estate and mortgage industry as a licensed realtor and residential loan originator. Before Platinum Financial Funding, Mr. Wamsley worked as a loan originator at Mortgage South and Hometown Lenders, respectively. Prior to those positions, Mr. Wamsley was the net branch manager at Exclusive Metro Mortgage, then Financial Solutions of Chattanooga, followed by American First Mortgage. In the beginning stages of his real estate career, he held positions at Pacific Sands Mortgage and Realty and Dove Capital Corporation.

 

Joyce Hixson has been added to the Platinum Financial Funding Dayton office. She is a mortgage loan originator with more than 14 years of full-service mortgage experience, from originating to processing to closing home mortgage loans. Starting in 2004, Hixson worked at First Bank of Tennessee as the branch manager and secondary market lending supervisor. She started her career in 1979 at AmSouth Bank, where she held positions as branch manager and mortgage loan originator.

 

Howard Wood joined the Platinum Financial Funding team at the Gunbarrel office. Ms. Wood began his career as a branch executive at Alpha Mortgage in 1997. After leaving that position in 1998, he joined the ranks of Atlas Mortgage until 2001 and then moved to Mortgage Direct. Beginning in 2002, Wood took a position as a branch executive at Elite Mortgage, which was absorbed by People’s Home Equity in 2011. He remained in that position until his hire at Platinum Financial Funding this year.

 

Wayne Denham is the in-house loan originator at the RE/MAX office on Shallowford RoadHe began his career in the financial sector in 1996 as a loan officer at American Acceptance. In 1997, Denham accepted the position of loan officer at Crest Mortgage, where he stayed until taking on a similar position at First Volunteer Bank in 1999. Beginning in 2001, Mr. Denham went to work for Financial Solutions of Chattanooga, LLC, and was the top producer for the company every year of his employment until he left to manage Top Flite Financial in 2011. Throughout his career, Mr. Denham has been awarded many accolades from the Mortgage Banker Association of Chattanooga’s, including the Presidents Award twice and Bronze Award five times.

Tennessee Unemployment Rates Down In 62 Counties, Up In 23, And No Change In 10

County unemployment rates in Tennessee for April 2013, released Thursday, show the rate decreased in 62 counties, increased in 23, and stayed the same in ten.
